Smart Spaces for Learning: Semantic Web in a P2P Learning Network Sigrún Gunnarsdóttir, Iceland Telecom, Iceland

Sigrun Gunnarsdottir is a project manager at the reserach department of Iceland Telecom. She has a B.S. from the University of Iceland, M. S. in Educational Technology since 1991 from Purdue University and a M. S. in Information and Computer science since 1995 from University of California, Irvine. She worked for four years developing business and administration software . Since 1998 she has been working at the research department at Iceland Telecom. Her reserach interest include the use of information technology in education, multimedia, XML/RDF, e-learning and human-computer interfaces. She is an experienced teacher and has also been involved in many project that deal with the human aspect of using information technology, such as Quality of life for Teleworkers and How Virtual Communities develop. She is a author of many papers and one book in these areas. She was a partner in the Universal (www.educanext.org) project funded by EU and she is now participating in the ELENA
(www.elena-project.org) project funded by the EU, and the DEKAR
(www.dekar.org) project funded by the Nordic Industry fund.
